This initiative arose from a group of Latin American scientists who are members of TYAN, The TWAS-Young Affiliates Network (TWAS, The World Academy of Sciences), in collaboration with researchers from CONICET (National Council for Scientific and Technical Research, Argentina). Under the premise that scientific cooperation is key to emerge from this global health emergency, we must encourage collaboration at the regional and global level that involves governments, multilateral institutions, regional organizations, transnational corporations and civil society organizations.
